Royal Palm Oasis
Marrakech, Morocco
Accommodation
The Royal Palm Oasis is built around a restored 19th-century palace and a complex of low-rise wings surrounded by eight hectares of Andalusian gardens. There are 136 rooms and suites, many with direct access to private patios or plunge pools. The decoration is a blend of Moroccan craftsmanship and contemporary comfort, with tadelakt walls and carved cedar ceilings. The suites are spacious and light, with thoughtful privacy planning for a resort that attracts both couples and families.
Dining & Room Service
The main dining venue serves Moroccan and international cuisine in a courtyard setting. A second restaurant, located near the golf course, offers grilled meats and lighter fare at lunchtime. The quality is consistent, with excellent use of local spices and seasonal vegetables. Room service is available around the clock. The hotel's traditional afternoon tea in the lobby is a genuinely pleasant ritual.
Spa and Wellness
The 1,200-square-metre spa is a highlight of the property. It includes a large indoor pool, a hammam, and a range of treatment rooms. Therapists are well-trained, and the menu is deeply rooted in local wellness traditions while offering modern international options. We found the hammam experience to be among the best in the region.
Pool and Recreation
The outdoor pool is long and well maintained, bordered by olive trees. There is also a children's pool and a dedicated family area. Tennis courts and a par-72 golf course provide additional recreation options. The golf course is well regarded locally.
Location and Transport
Located approximately 20 minutes by car from Marrakech Menara Airport, the property is also close to the city centre, which is 15 minutes away by taxi. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to the Medina several times daily. Local taxis are available at the front gate.
On-Site Casino
The casino occupies a discrete corner of the palace and is considered a "salon de jeux," or gaming lounge. Under Moroccan law, the minimum age to enter the casino is 21. The venue requires a passport or national ID for verification and has a smart-casual dress code. The casino offers table games and a small selection of electronic machines. Note that local laws restrict casino entrance for Moroccan residents.
